Would you work for the government for 10 years in exchange for a college education?

No I would not. I have been exposed to several government agencies, I am a construction electrician, and let me tell you that it is sick the way the majority of government workers do nothing. In my opinion they virtually steal their paychecks. I will give you an example. Several years ago I worked on the construction of a new office building at the Social Security Complex in west Baltimore. A typical day, not for all, for many of the Social Security employees went as follows. 8am punch in and go to office, immediately go to the cafeteria for breakfast for approximately 1hr, 9:30am go to the cafeteria for coffee break for approximately 45min., 11:30 put everything away in preparation for lunch, 11:45 leave for lunch, 1:30 return from lunch, 2:30 go to cafeteria for coffee break for approximately 45min. 4:30pm clean everything from desk and prepare to leave. 5pm leave for the day. Hell of a hard day. I could not live with myself if I did not more for my money than this. As I say I would feel like a thief. I also worked at the National Security Agency at FT. Meade, Md. It was a bit better but not much. If I worked like that how long do you think I would be employed?
