~~Right wheel suddenly "falling off" and steering wheel "not turning" - what happened?

A tie rod can cause the steering to disconnect, but when the wheel falls flat back like that, it is always a ball joint. They are about $50 for parts, and about 2 hours to change. So about $225 total. Can be very dangerous though. Should have the other 3 inspected.
